Well I made it back to LA in one piece, so here is a recap of the Unisex show in roids. The band killed it and thanks again to them for their hospitality. They signed my insert during lunch on my last day in the big city, down the street from the cafe where Jonny and Ant first met. I have more Unisex cd’s so if you are in the business and would like a copy, please let me know: caro@hihicaro.com. Stick to the Unisex sites for upcoming show info.
From left to right: 1. Worried faces backstage during soundcheck. 2. Todd Schrock. 3. Roy getting a pre show massage. 4. Kenyon Phillips writing the setlist. 5. Brian Gumbel live on the keys. 6. Roy live on the bass. 7. Jonny taking the drums apart. 8. Kenyon and friends at Don Hill’s. 9-10. Crazy afterparty characters.
For those of you who tuned in on Wednesday, you may have heard Roy and Ant interviewing with Steve Jones on Indie 103.1’s Jonesy’s Jukebox. They talked a bit about the Spacehog reunion and played live acoustic songs. If you missed it, don’t fret, I missed it too… although I spoke to Ant afterwards and he was very excited. It would appear that Royston Langdon was one of Camp Freddy’s featured guests on their July 19th appearance at The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas. More details at Billy Morrison’s blog.
Last year, Jonny Cragg and Royston Langdon contributed to Biggles’ latest album, “Oh My God It’s Full Of Stars”. The first single from the forthcoming album is “Cotton Coma”, and it’s brilliant.
